WE HAVE A DREAM
SCRIPTURE 1 Chronicles 28 v 20 “David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the Lord is finished.”
We can picture David handing Solomon the scrolls with the plans for building the temple and organising its service. The job was now in the hands of David’s son Solomon. It is easy to see how important this was for David. He had spent enormous effort to prepare the temple, but all David’s work would have been useless unless Solomon did in fact do it.
‘Do not talk about it; do not sit down, and dream over the plans, and think how admirable they are, and then roll them up; but, ‘Be strong and of good courage and do it.’ Spurgeon
In the same way, the Dream given to Life Melbourne can really be seen as a plan, or a road map that God has put before us. And in the words of Spurgeon, we need to ‘be strong and of good courage and do it!’
LIFE MELBOURNE DREAM
We have a dream that LIFE Melbourne would be a church that is full of faith…
We dream of LIFE having multiple campuses…
We have a dream of wheelchairs being emptied…
We dream of LIFE Melbourne being a church that is big enough…
We dream of the day where we are in the highways and byways…
We dream of a day where our buildings will be too small…
We dream of the day we see a nightclub filled with young adults hearing the love of Jesus…
We dream of the day where we will also have our own purpose-crafted facilities…
We have a dream that our influence in the business community…
