Bookkeeper and Finance Admin (Part time of Full time)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper and Finance Admin to join our Finance Team. This role is central to ensuring smooth financial operations across our Melbourne and Adelaide campuses, with a focus on accounts payable, tithes and offerings processing, and supporting staff and departments with finance-related needs.

The Role:
As the Bookkeeper and Finance Admin, you’ll be the go-to person for accounts payable, creditor management, and financial administration. You’ll also play a key role in processing tithes, offerings, and pledges, while supporting payroll, training, and ongoing process improvements. This position requires someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, is attentive to detail, and values both accuracy and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounts payable inbox, process invoices, and maintain creditor relationships
• Ensure invoices and reimbursements are approved, coded, and processed accurately and on time
• Count, record, and bank all tithes, offerings, and pledges while upholding internal controls
• Support payroll with accurate record-keeping and assist in onboarding new staff
• Maintain and reconcile Xero, including bank transactions and credit card receipts
• Prepare payment runs, international transfers, and remittance advices
• Provide system training, maintain process manuals, and assist staff with finance queries
• Proactively review and improve finance processes for greater efficiency

You, The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
• Experience in customer service or accounts payable (Xero knowledge is highly desirable)
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills
• Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
• A teachable attitude, self-motivation, and reliability in handling responsibilities
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes
• Alignment with the vision, values, and culture of LIFE
